TULSA, OK – A string of violent crimes has come to a head in the Sooner State, as the Federal Grand Jury B announced indictments against six defendants in October 2021.
According to sources, Osakwe Bandele, 31, of Tulsa, is charged with being a felon in possession of a Glock .357 caliber pistol and ammunition. Bandele’s alleged offense is in direct violation of federal law, which prohibits felons from possessing firearms.
Bowie Jr., 40, of Tulsa, is also accused of being a felon in possession of ammunition. Meanwhile, Hutton, 47, of Tulsa, faces similar charges for being a felon in possession of a Beretta .40 caliber pistol and ammunition.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Nathan E. Michel is prosecuting the case, with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and Tulsa Police Department leading the investigation.
The charges against Bandele, Bowie Jr., and Hutton come as a stark reminder of the dangers posed by felons in possession of firearms.
