A massive haul of prescription painkillers and cash has been seized following the arrest of a 26-year-old Bridgeport, West Virginia man.

Suhip E. Ebrahim, 26, was taken into custody by the Ohio Valley Drug and Violent Crime Task Force and the Marshall County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force in the Wheeling area.

According to authorities, Ebrahim was found in possession of nearly 600 oxycodone pills, with a street value estimated in the thousands, and in excess of $100,000 in United States currency.

Ebrahim made an initial appearance in federal court before U.S. Magistrate Judge James E. Seibert, where he was held without bond.

The federal complaint against Ebrahim charges him with “Possession with Intent to Distribute Oxycodone.”

Ebrahim is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Two other defendants were also arrested today, but their names have not been released as they are facing charges in state court.
