Jon DeTemple, Child Pornography Possession, Pennsylvania 2019

PITTSBURGH – In a disturbing case of child pornography, Jon DeTemple, 32, from Washington, Pennsylvania, has pleaded guilty in federal court to possession of material depicting the sexual exploitation of minors. United States Attorney Scott W. Brady announced the charges.

DeTemple admitted that on October 23, 2019, he possessed videos and images of minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct, stored in computer graphic and digital files.

Scheduled for December 16, 2020, at 10:00AM, DeTemple’s sentencing could see him face a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison, a $250,000 fine, or both. Assistant United States Attorney Heidi M. Grogan is leading the prosecution against him.

The investigation that led to DeTemple’s arrest was conducted by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a Department of Justice initiative launched in 2006 to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse.
