Crime Wave Hits Texas: 203 New Immigration Cases Filed in Western District

San Antonio, TX – In a shocking turn of events, federal prosecutors in the Western District of Texas have filed 203 new immigration and immigration-related criminal cases, leaving residents worried about the safety of their communities.

Pablo Alfredo Cazares-Carrion, a 45-year-old Mexican national, tops the list of defendants. He was turned over to the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)/Enforcement Removal Operations (ERO) on July 22. Cazares-Carrion had been in Bexar County Adult Detention Center since his arrest on April 13 for assault causing bodily injury to a family member.

But that’s not all – Cazares-Carrion has a prior conviction for illegal re-entry, for which he was sentenced to 40 months in federal prison in 2017. This time around, he’s facing up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for the same crime.

Other notable defendants include Noe Fermin Guerrero-Mendieta, who was arrested in Waco for failure to possess registration form. Guerrero-Mendieta, a 35-year-old Mexican national, was granted an immigration bond and released from immigration custody, but failed to carry his required certificate of alien registration or alien registration receipt card.

Emmanuel De Jesius Arroyo-Aviles, a 32-year-old Mexican national, was arrested in Del Rio for illegal re-entry. Arroyo-Aviles has a prior conviction for smuggling of persons with a likelihood of serious bodily injury or death, for which he was sentenced to 10 years of probation in Zavala County in January.
