David Wallace, Drug Conspiracy, Pennsylvania 2013

A Newton Square, Pennsylvania man has been slapped with a federal indictment for his alleged role in a drug conspiracy and possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.

David Wallace, 52, was indicted by a federal grand jury on April 2, 2013, for his involvement in a conspiracy to distribute controlled substances. He appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Mark A. Moreno on April 8, 2013, and pleaded not guilty to the indictment.

The charges against Wallace are serious, carrying a maximum penalty of not more than 20 years of imprisonment, a $1,000,000 fine, or both. Additionally, he faces at least 3 years of supervised release and an additional 2 years of supervised release upon revocation. Restitution and a $100 special assessment may also be ordered.

The investigation into Wallace’s activities is being conducted by the Northern Plains Safe Trails Drug Enforcement Task Force. Assistant United States Attorney Kathryn N. Rich is prosecuting the case.

Wallace was remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshal Service after his indictment. A trial date has been set for May 14, 2013, and the case is ongoing.

The charges against Wallace are merely accusations, and he is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
