The sentence was announced by John P. Heekin, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida.

On August 7, 2024, law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at Stanton’s residence on West Baars Street, where they found marijuana, cocaine, ammunition, and drug paraphernalia. Three young children were also present during the raid.

U.S. Attorney Heekin emphasized the severity of the offense, stating, “The fact that the defendant had dangerous narcotics in his home with young children is inexcusable.”
