Eddy Antonio Perdomo, Illegal Reentry, Massachusetts 2024

BOSTON – Eddy Antonio Perdomo, a 31-year-old Dominican national, has been handed down a sentence of time served after being caught for illegal reentry into the United States. Perdomo was sentenced to approximately four months in prison by U.S. District Court Judge Patti B. Saris.

Perdomo, who was unlawfully residing in Lawrence, Massachusetts, pleaded guilty to one count of unlawful reentry of a deported alien in July 2025. He had been indicted by a federal grand jury just a month prior, in June 2025.

The defendant’s illegal return to the United States came after he was officially deported from the country on October 3, 2023, and subsequently reentered the nation without permission.

United States Attorney Leah B. Foley; Patricia H. Hyde, Acting Field Office Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Enforcement and Removal Operations in Boston; and Lawrence Police Chief Maurice Aguiler jointly announced the sentence. Assistant U.S. Attorney Suzanne Sullivan Jacobus of the Major Crimes Unit was responsible for prosecuting the case.

Perdomo’s illegal reentry into the United States has placed him back under deportation proceedings, ensuring that he will face further legal consequences for his actions.

This sentence serves as a stark reminder of the strict immigration laws in place and the government’s commitment to enforcing them.
