Philip Ahr, Distribution of Child Pornography, Pennsylvania 2013

Philip Ahr, a/k/a “DaddyX” and “DaddyXX,” of Radnor, Delaware County, PA, has been hit with a federal indictment charging him with multiple counts of distributing, receiving, and possessing child pornography. The 13-page indictment, unsealed today in Philadelphia, alleges Ahr traded in hundreds of graphic images and videos of child sexual abuse across the internet for nearly three years, beginning in 2013.

The charges include two counts of distribution of child pornography, two counts of receipt of child pornography, and one count of possession of child pornography. According to court documents, Ahr used online platforms and encrypted channels to traffic in illicit material, often using his aliases to conceal his identity. Investigators say the digital trail leads directly to his home computer and personal accounts.

Ahr, former president of the Radnor Township Board of Commissioners, appeared in federal court today before the Honorable Lynne A. Sitarski. At the hearing, federal prosecutors argued for detention, citing the severity of the charges and potential risk to the community. The judge ordered Ahr held without bond pending a formal detention hearing scheduled for February 26, 2018.

If convicted on all counts, Ahr faces a statutory maximum sentence of 100 years in prison. He would also serve a mandatory minimum of five years behind bars, followed by supervised release for 5 years to life. Additional penalties include a $1,250,000 fine and $10,500 in special assessments—fines that underscore the federal government’s hardline stance on crimes involving the sexual exploitation of children.

The investigation was led by the FBI, with Task Force Officer Kenneth Bellis and Special Agent Jennifer Morrow working in tandem with the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office and the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit (ICAC). Digital forensics, IP tracing, and undercover operations were instrumental in building the case against Ahr, who once held a position of public trust in his community.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Michelle Rotella. No plea has been entered yet. As the legal process moves forward, the indictment serves as a grim reminder: predators who operate behind screens can still be dragged into the light—especially when their aliases become evidence.
