About 160 months in prison is a long time, but for Picayune man Conel Lamont Holloway, 40, that’s exactly what he’s going to get for dealing in methamphetamine.
Holloway was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Gulfport after he was found guilty of possession with intent to distribute 27 grams of methamphetamine. According to court records, on November 2, 2018, Holloway sold the methamphetamine to an individual for $700 in Picayune, Mississippi.
The case against Holloway began with an indictment by a federal grand jury on September 7, 2022. He later pled guilty on November 29, 2023, to the crime.
The investigation into Holloway’s activities was led by the Drug Enforcement Administration, with support from Homeland Security Investigations. Assistant U.S. Attorney Erica Rose was the prosecutor on the case.
The case is part of a larger Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) operation, aimed at taking down high-level drug traffickers and organized crime groups.

U.S. Attorney Todd W. Gee, Assistant Special Agent in Charge Anessa Daniels-McCaw of the Drug Enforcement Administration, and Acting Special Agent in Charge Eric DeLaune of Homeland Security Investigations all weighed in on the case, praising the hard work of the law enforcement agencies involved.
The OCDETF operation continues to target high-level drug traffickers, disrupting and dismantling organized crime groups that pose a threat to national security.
