A 50-year-old Pontotoc man is going to spend the next 14 years behind bars for a brazen cross-state kidnapping. Luis Carlos Noyola snatched a female victim from Cherokee, Alabama, on April 19, 2025, and forced her to travel against her will to Corinth, Mississippi, and then into McNairy County, Tennessee.
During the ordeal, Noyola struck the victim multiple times, leaving her with bodily injuries. But the woman managed to break free in Tennessee, leading to Noyola’s arrest in Corinth, Mississippi.
Noyola pleaded guilty to the federal charges and was sentenced to 175 months imprisonment. He’ll get five years of supervision after his release from prison.
U.S. Attorney Scott Leary praised the law enforcement agencies involved in the case, including the Corinth Police Department, the FBI, and the U.S. Marshals. ‘An aggressive response is required in situations like this,’ Leary said.
Landon Tucker, Chief of Police for the Corinth Police Department, also thanked the agencies for their work. ‘The victim’s escape ultimately led to Noyola’s arrest,’ Tucker said.
