A Wichita man has been sentenced to seven years in federal prison for brandishing a firearm during a robbery at a convenience store, officials said.
The incident occurred on Oct. 26, 2016 at the Presto gas station at 4414 W. Maple in Wichita. Quincy D. Hadley, 36, Wichita, pointed a .40-caliber pistol at a clerk and demanded cash and cigarettes before fleeing the store.
Hadley was arrested when an officer responding to a 911 call found him changing clothes in a parked car.
The case was commended by U.S. Attorney Tom Beall for the work of the Wichita Police Department and Assistant U.S. Attorney Brent Anderson.
Hadley pleaded guilty to brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence and was sentenced to seven years in federal prison.
The sentencing highlights the seriousness of the crime and the importance of holding individuals accountable for their actions, officials said.
