Pittsburgh Man Charged with Cocaine Possession

A Florida man has been charged with violating federal drug laws in a Pittsburgh courtroom.

Racoco Williams, 35, of Lauderhill, Florida, was indicted by a federal grand jury in August 2017 on a charge of possessing with intent to deliver 5 kilograms or more of cocaine.

According to the indictment, the crime took place on August 29, 2017, at a room at the Extended Stay Hotel in Monroeville, Pennsylvania.

A search warrant of his room revealed 17 kilograms of cocaine and more than $192,000 in cash.

Williams is currently being held without bond pending trial.

The law provides for a maximum total sentence of not less than 10 years and up to life in prison, a fine of $10,000 or both.

Assistant United States Attorney Brendan T. Conway is prosecuting this case on behalf of the government.

The United States Department of Homeland Security, United States Postal Inspection Service, and the Pennsylvania State Police conducted the investigation leading to the indictment in this case.

An indictment is an accusation, and Williams is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
