Carlos Todd, a 31-year-old Raleigh man, made a brazen escape from the South Raleigh Residential Reentry Center, a halfway house, on July 30, 2025. Todd had been serving the final part of his prior prison sentence at the facility, which is designed to help inmates transition back into society. However, after testing positive for marijuana, Todd was set to be transferred back to prison, but he refused to leave and later absconded from the center.
