A Ross Township resident has been charged with the sexual exploitation of minors, according to a federal indictment.
Ralph Talerico, 44, was named as the sole defendant in a six-count indictment related to the production and possession of material depicting the sexual exploitation of minors.
According to the indictment, Talerico produced and attempted to produce material depicting the sexual exploitation of minors between June and July 2023.
Talerico is also charged with possession of material depicting the sexual exploitation of prepubescent minors and minors under 12 years of age on June 6, 2024.
The indictment was announced by United States Attorney Eric G. Olshan, and Assistant United States Attorney V. Joseph Sonson is prosecuting the case on behalf of the government.
The investigation was conducted by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General and Homeland Security Investigations.
Talerico faces a maximum total sentence of not less than 15 years and up to 30 years in prison, a fine of up to $1.5 million, or both.
An indictment is an accusation, and Talerico is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
