Raudy Acosta Fernandez, a 32-year-old resident of Richardson, Texas, has pleaded guilty to Aggravated Identity Theft in the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
According to the charges, Fernandez knowingly possessed and used, without lawful authority, a means of identification of another person during and in relation to Conspiracy to Commit Wire Fraud on March 21, 2018.
The investigation into Fernandez’s activities was led by the Lighthorse Police Department and the United States Secret Service.
Fernandez’s guilty plea is punishable by not more than 2 years imprisonment, a fine up to $250,000.00, or both.
The plea was accepted by The Honorable Steven P. Shreder, U.S. Magistrate Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, in Muskogee.
Assistant United States Attorney Shannon Henson represented the United States in the case.
Fernandez is scheduled to undergo a presentence investigation report following the acceptance of his guilty plea.
