ELKINS, WEST VIRGINIA – A Tucker County man has been sentenced to 24 months in prison for a firearms charge.
Richard Lee Hollobaugh, 33, of Parsons, West Virginia, was sentenced today to 24 months incarceration for a firearms charge, United States Attorney Bill Powell announced.
Hollobaugh, having previously been convicted of four felonies, admitted to possessing a 9mm pistol in October 2017 in Randolph County.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), the centerpiece of the government’s violent crime reduction efforts. PSN is an evidence-based program proven to be effective at reducing violent crime. Through PSN, a broad spectrum of stakeholders work together to identify the most pressing violent crime problems in the community and develop comprehensive solutions to address them.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen D. Warner prosecuted the case on behalf of the government. The Bureau of Alcohol, Firearms, Tobacco, and Explosives and the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office investigated.
U.S. District Judge John Preston Bailey presided.
