ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The grim saga of Daryl Green, 53, a Rochester drug kingpin, took a darker turn as he was sentenced to 87 months in federal prison for his involvement in a massive cocaine conspiracy.
In what law enforcement termed an early-morning shockwave, investigators swooped into the Greens’ East Main Street residence on October 26, 2021. The seizure was nothing short of startling: approximately 1.3 kilograms of pure cocaine, a digital scale stained with white powder, and a drug ledger that chronicled their illegal trade. Cash totaling $45,446, believed to be the proceeds from their illicit activities, was also seized.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Katelyn M. Hartford revealed that Daryl and his wife, Pamela Green, were no strangers to the streets of Monroe County. They not only sold cocaine but also stored, processed, and packaged it at their own residence. Their operations extended beyond the confines of their home as they met customers across various locations in the county.
Today’s sentencing by U.S. District Judge Frank P. Geraci, Jr., is a direct result of a joint investigation led by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and other local law enforcement agencies. Pamela Green, Daryl’s wife, has also been convicted and awaits her sentencing.
U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross emphasized the severity of the crime, stating that the Green couple’s actions posed a significant threat to public safety. The sentence handed down sends a clear message that drug trafficking will not be tolerated in Rochester.
