ROCHESTER, NY – Daryl Green, 53, of Rochester, is headed to federal prison after being sentenced to 87 months for running a significant cocaine operation. U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross announced the sentence today, the culmination of a lengthy investigation that exposed a brazen drug trafficking ring operating right out of a residential home.
The bust began in October 2020 when authorities zeroed in on Green and his wife, Pamela Green. Evidence revealed the couple wasn’t just users – they were actively selling cocaine to customers from their East Main Street residence, turning their home into a processing and packaging center for the illicit substance. They extended their reach beyond their doorstep, meeting buyers at various locations throughout Monroe County to push their product.
The operation came crashing down in the early hours of October 26, 2021, when investigators executed a search warrant on the Green residence. The search yielded a staggering 1.3 kilograms of cocaine, along with a detailed drug ledger meticulously tracking sales. A digital scale coated in white powder residue, strainers similarly contaminated, and a mountain of empty plastic bags used for packaging were also seized – clear evidence of a large-scale operation.
But the haul didn’t stop there. Authorities also discovered approximately $45,446 in cash hidden within the residence – the dirty money earned from their illegal enterprise. Assistant U.S. Attorney Katelyn M. Hartford, who led the prosecution, presented a compelling case that convinced U.S. District Judge Frank P. Geraci, Jr. to impose the hefty 87-month sentence on Daryl Green.
Pamela Green, Daryl’s partner in crime, has already been convicted and is currently awaiting her own sentencing. This wasn’t a solo operation; it was a calculated, coordinated effort to flood the streets with cocaine. The successful prosecution underscores the commitment of multiple federal and local agencies to dismantling these networks.
The investigation was a massive collaborative effort involving the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), New York State Police, and several county and city police departments including Monroe, Ontario, Rochester, Greece, and Brighton. The Greater Rochester Area Narcotics Enforcement Team also played a crucial role in bringing Green to justice.
