Rochester Man Sentenced for Crack Cocaine Trafficking
ROCHESTER, N.Y.—Reggie Bullock, 40, a Rochester resident, has been sentenced to 108 months in prison for his involvement in a crack cocaine trafficking operation.
On September 26, 2012, officers from the New York State Division of Parole and the Rochester Police Department executed a search warrant at Bullock’s residence, located at 119 Bradburn Street in Rochester. During the search, Bullock was stopped and searched as he departed the location, resulting in the discovery of $3,220 in U.S. currency and 31 grams of crack cocaine packaged in 17 individual bags for street sale.
The search also revealed digital scales, baggies, and other drug processing paraphernalia, as well as $54,600 in U.S. currency hidden inside a safe within a stereo speaker. A .45 auto caliber semi-automatic rifle and over three dozen rounds of ammunition were seized from an unregistered vehicle in the driveway at the residence. The firearm had been placed in the vehicle by Bullock’s cousin, Liddon Young, who was recently sentenced to 15 years in prison on federal gun trafficking charges.
The sentencing is the culmination of an investigation led by the New York State Division of Parole, under the direction of Anthony J. Annucci, the Rochester Police Department, under the direction of Chief Michael Ciminelli, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives under the direction of Special Agent in Charge Thomas J. Cannon, New York Field Office.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert A. Marangola, who handled the case, stated that the evidence seized during the search clearly demonstrated Bullock’s intent to distribute the crack cocaine. The cash discovered during the search has been forfeited by the Drug Enforcement Administration as drug money, and forfeiture of the firearm and ammunition were ordered as part of Bullock’s sentence.
Bullock’s sentence will be served concurrently with the remainder of a 36-month sentence he is currently serving for a violation of state parole. The sentencing marks another successful prosecution in the ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and violent crime in the Rochester area.
