SHREVEPORT, La. – A Many, LA man has been sentenced to federal prison for his role in narcotics trafficking and illegal possession of firearms, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Ronald Carnell Holland, Jr., 24, was sentenced to 111 months in prison, followed by 5 years of supervised release, for his crimes.
Holland pleaded guilty on March 7, 2022 to one count of possession of flualprazolam with intent to distribute and one count of possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking.
The charges stem from a search warrant executed on April 14, 2021 at Holland’s residence in Many, Louisiana. During the search, law enforcement officers found three loaded pistols, a high-capacity drum magazine loaded with 48 rounds of ammunition, 2,000 flualprazolam pills, cash, boxes of various ammunition, clear plastic baggies, and a scale.
The investigation into Holland’s crimes was led by the ATF and the Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Office, with the U.S. Attorney’s Office prosecuting the case.
“This sentence reflects the seriousness of Mr. Holland’s crimes and the impact they had on our community,” said U.S. Attorney Brandon B. Brown.
The case highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat narcotics trafficking and the dangers it poses to public safety.
Holland’s sentence is a result of his guilty plea to the charges and serves as a reminder of the consequences of engaging in such activities.
