Crack Cocaine Distribution Rocks Harrisburg Community
HARRISBURG – In a harsh blow to the Harrisburg community, Ronald Lee Goss, 40, of Harrisburg, was sentenced to 156 months in prison for his role in distributing crack cocaine in the area during 2011.
According to U.S. Attorney Peter Smith, Goss’s illicit activities unfolded in the Harrisburg region in 2011. The defendant was initially charged in January 2015 and subsequently pleaded guilty on September 30, 2014.
The case was a collaborative effort between the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Capital City Safe Streets Task Force and Assistant United States Attorney Daryl F. Bloom, who prosecuted the case.
As the investigation unfolded, authorities uncovered the scope of Goss’s involvement in the distribution of crack cocaine. His sentence serves as a stern warning to those who would resort to such illicit activities.
The community can breathe a sigh of relief as a result of this conviction. It’s a testament to the tireless efforts of law enforcement agencies working together to keep our streets safe.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania will continue to pursue justice in cases like Goss’s, sending a strong message to those who engage in drug trafficking.
