Rosebud Meth Kingpin Gets 5 Years
A Rosebud, South Dakota man has been sentenced to 60 months of imprisonment for his role in a methamphetamine trafficking operation.
Myron Dubray, 26, was sentenced on June 25, 2013 by U.S. District Judge Roberto A. Lange for Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance.
The search warrant was executed on March 21, 2012, after law enforcement discovered over 50 grams of methamphetamine, a Scheduled II controlled substance, inside a house where Dubray was present.
When interviewed by law enforcement, Dubray admitted to selling methamphetamine in the past. The investigation was conducted by the Northern Plains Safe Trails Drug Enforcement Task Force.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Kathryn N. Rich prosecuted the case, which was a result of Dubray’s indictment by a federal grand jury on August 22, 2012. Dubray had previously pled guilty on April 3, 2013.
As part of his sentence, Dubray was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine, 4 years of supervised release, and a $100 special assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund.
Dubray was immediately taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service to begin serving his 5-year sentence. He will serve his sentence consecutively with a previous Pennington County felony sentence.
