Today, 25-year-old Jordan Anthony Hughes of Sacramento was locked away for 30 years for the production and distribution of child sexual abuse material, according to U.S. District Judge Daniel J. Calabretta. Hughes’ sickening exploitation began in 2017, when he used a child under 12 in Sacramento for explicit visual depictions.
Hughes didn’t stop there; he convinced other underage victims to send him sexually explicit images and videos, posing as an underage male himself. He even distributed such materials, claiming to educate his victims on the acts. At his arrest, Hughes was found with a trove of child abuse materials.
The Sacramento Valley Hi-Tech Crimes Task Force, involving the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department and Homeland Security Investigations, led the investigation that culminated in Hughes’ conviction. Assistant U.S. Attorney Shea J. Kenny prosecuted the case.
