SCRANTON, Pennsylvania – In a shocking turn of events, Samantha Blume, a 30-year-old woman from Frackville, Pennsylvania, pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting the distribution of methamphetamine in Schuylkill County. The crime took place in February 2019, with Blume admitting to her role in the highly-pure crystal methamphetamine trafficking ring.

According to Acting United States Attorney Bruce D. Brandler, Blume’s involvement in the methamphetamine trafficking ring was a significant blow to the community. The indictment, which was handed down in September 2019, charged Blume and her then-boyfriend, Shaquane Scott, with methamphetamine trafficking. Scott, also 31, was sentenced to six years’ imprisonment on June 23, 2021, for his role in the crime.
