Shreveport, LA – In a bold move against the scourge of methamphetamine in Sabine Parish, a Louisiana man has been sentenced to federal prison time.

Samuel Holbert Brumfield, also known as “Sammy B,” 35, of Many, Louisiana, was handed down a 70-month prison sentence by United States District Judge Donald E. Walter.

According to the evidence presented at the guilty plea hearing, Brumfield was identified by law enforcement agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as the primary suspect in the trafficking of methamphetamine in the Sabine Parish area.

On April 26, 2021, Brumfield sold approximately 58 grams of methamphetamine to another individual in the area.

The methamphetamine was seized and taken to the crime lab, where it was confirmed to be the real deal.

Brumfield’s guilty plea was entered on September 28, 2021, in response to an indictment returned by a federal grand jury on June 16, 2021.

The indictment charged Brumfield with three counts of distribution of methamphetamine and one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
