George Krabey, Methamphetamine Fentanyl Trafficking, Massachusetts 2025

BOSTON – George Krabey, a 46-year-old Saugus resident, has been slammed with an eight-count federal indictment for his alleged involvement in a vast drug trafficking conspiracy involving the distribution of thousands of counterfeit pills laced with methamphetamine and fentanyl.

Krabey, who was originally charged by criminal complaint in May 2025, now faces charges including two counts of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, three counts of distribution of 50 grams or more of methamphetamine, one count each of possession with intent to distribute 500 and 50 grams of methamphetamine, and one count of distributing methamphetamine and fentanyl.

According to the DOJ USAO, Krabey engaged in a series of meetings between December 2024 and April 2025, where he sold thousands of counterfeit pills to a cooperating source. His downfall came on April 22, 2025, when law enforcement intercepted him with a shoebox containing 5,296 pills weighing approximately two kilograms en route to Salisbury.

Each count involving 500 grams or more of methamphetamine carries a sentence of at least 10 years and up to life in prison, along with fines of up to $10 million. Distribution charges for 50 grams or more carry sentences ranging from five to 40 years, fines up to $5 million, and supervised release.

The U.S. Attorney Leah B. Foley and DEA Special Agent in Charge Jared A. Forget announced the charges today, with assistance from the Massachusetts State Police and local law enforcement. Assistant U.S. Attorney Samuel R. Feldman is prosecuting the case.

The details of the indictment are merely allegations against Krabey, who is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
