Marcus Holder, Meth Trafficking, Massachusetts 2024

BOSTON – A Saugus man has been convicted for his role in a large-scale methamphetamine trafficking network. Marcus Holder, also known as ‘Heartless,’ pleaded guilty to federal drug offenses involving the distribution of laced pills.

Holder, aged 30 and an Asian Boyz gang member, was part of a ring that had access to homemade methamphetamine pills marketed as Adderall. The gang’s products were virtually indistinguishable from real Adderall in appearance. Holder delivered 1,000 ‘Adderall’ pills to fellow gang member Bill Phim, alias ‘Bonez,’ for resale to an undercover officer. Chemical tests revealed the pills were a dangerous mixture of methamphetamine and caffeine.

Holder’s sentencing is scheduled for December 11, 2025, before U.S. District Court Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton. The charges carry a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison, with a maximum of up to 40 years, alongside supervised release and fines reaching $5 million.

Phim was previously sentenced to 10 years in prison, followed by five years of supervised release. U.S. Attorney Leah B. Foley; FBI Special Agent in Charge Ted E. Docks; and Lowell Police Department Superintendent Gregory C. Hudon jointly announced the conviction. The investigation received valuable assistance from the Massachusetts State Police and local police departments.

This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), an initiative aiming to reduce gun violence and other violent crimes, and make neighborhoods safer. It also falls under the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) operation, which identifies, disrupts, and dismantles high-level criminal organizations.
