A Fort Wayne man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for his role in a major methamphetamine trafficking operation.
Shaine Shepherd, 28, pleaded guilty to distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine, a charge that carries a minimum sentence of 10 years in prison.
According to court documents, Shepherd was arrested after a lengthy investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Fort Wayne Police Department.
Shepherd’s sentencing comes after he pleaded guilty to the charges in March 2024.
U.S. District Court Judge Holly A. Brady sentenced Shepherd to 120 months in prison, followed by 3 years of supervised release.
Shepherd’s case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration, with the assistance of the Fort Wayne Police Department.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Anthony W. Geller.
Shepherd’s sentencing marks the end of a successful investigation that brought a major methamphetamine trafficker to justice.
