Shiloh Edris Johnson, Marijuana Trafficking, Pennsylvania 2022

HARRISBURG – In a shocking turn of events, an 18-year-old York man and woman have been charged with drug trafficking and firearms offenses in connection with a marijuana operation.

Shiloh Edris Johnson and Kadie Jean Swartz, both 18 and residents of York, Pennsylvania, were indicted by a federal grand jury on January 12, 2022, on several charges related to their alleged involvement in the marijuana trade.

According to the indictment, Johnson and Swartz conspired to possess marijuana with the intent to distribute it, and also conspired to possess and possessed firearms in furtherance of their illicit activities. Additionally, Johnson is accused of receiving a firearm while under indictment for robbery and aggravated assault.

The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Christian T. Haugsby assigned to prosecute the case.

While the indictment serves as an allegation, it is essential to note that both Johnson and Swartz are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.

In the event of a guilty verdict, the maximum penalty under federal law could be up to life imprisonment, a $1 million fine, and up to lifetime supervised release. The judge will consider the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, taking into account various factors, including the nature and seriousness of the offense, the defendant’s history and characteristics, and the need to punish, protect the public, and provide for the defendant’s educational, vocational, and medical needs.

This case is part of the Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) Program, an evidence-based initiative to reduce violent crime. Through PSN, a broad spectrum of stakeholders work together to identify and address violent crime problems in their communities.

Johnson and Swartz will face a federal judge to answer for their alleged crimes, with the possibility of severe penalties if found guilty.
