On June 26, 2025, over 550 officers from federal, state, and local agencies simultaneously executed 54 search warrants in Huron, Coalinga, and surrounding communities, effectively choking off a network that had plagued the region for months.
The unsealed complaint details a conspiracy involving the Huron Dog Life, Coalinga Dog Life, and San Joaquin Ruthless Perro cliques, alleging they engaged in the trafficking of methamphetamine, heroin, and cocaine, along with illegal firearms. Investigators discovered the gang’s reach extended *inside* the prison system, with incarcerated members actively coordinating criminal activities from behind bars. Fresno County Sheriff John Zanoni echoed the sentiment, stating that the operation would “undoubtedly improve the safety and overall quality of life for residents in Fresno County, particularly those living in our smaller rural communities.” Fresno County District Attorney Lisa Smittcamp was equally blunt: “We are determined to send a clear and unwavering message to even the most rural parts of our county—no matter where you are, gang violence and drug trafficking will not be tolerated.” The investigation, which began in February 2024, focused specifically on the Bulldog’s activities in Huron, Coalinga, and San Joaquin, revealing a deeply entrenched network of criminals operating with impunity.
