Brandon Turner, Fentanyl Cocaine Trafficking, Connecticut 2024

GRIMY TIMES EXCLUSIVE: Brandon Turner, also known as ‘Bizz,’ has been charged with a laundry list of drug trafficking offenses involving fentanyl and cocaine. The 31-year-old Stamford native’s arrest is a major victory for federal law enforcement agencies.

The Drug Enforcement Administration’s Bridgeport High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Task Force and the Stamford Police Department’s Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit cracked down on Turner, who had been detained in state custody for unrelated offenses. According to court documents, investigators identified Turner as a key player in the narcotics trade.

In July 2024, the DEA conducted a controlled purchase of fentanyl from Turner. The investigation took a sinister turn when employees at an apartment complex discovered a storage room containing nearly 790 grams of fentanyl and one kilogram of cocaine. Surveillance footage and DNA analysis linked the discovery to Turner.

Further investigation revealed additional quantities of fentanyl and cocaine in Turner’s vehicle, prompting federal charges against him. The complaint charges Turner with possession with intent to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl—a charge that could land him a life sentence—and with possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine—a crime that carries up to 40 years behind bars.

Brandon Turner’s case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative aimed at eliminating cartels and transnational criminal organizations. Assistant U.S. Attorney Daniel E. Cummings will be handling the prosecution.

Despite the charges, Brandon Turner remains innocent until proven guilty in court. His arraignment is set for later this week.
