A 35-year-old man from Potter, Nebraska has been sentenced to 110 months in prison for his role in a methamphetamine distribution ring. Stetson Reinick was found guilty of possession with intent to distribute 5 grams or more of actual methamphetamine.
According to court documents, on September 21, 2020, law enforcement performed a trash pull at Reinick’s residence, where they seized foil with burned residue that tested positive for heroin. This led to the issuance of a search warrant, during which they discovered a backpack containing 21 grams of actual methamphetamine, scales, and drug paraphernalia.
Additionally, a handgun was found in Reinick’s bedroom, hidden between the mattress and headboard.
Reinick is currently serving his 110-month sentence, with no possibility of parole. Following his release from prison, he will begin a five-year term of supervised release.
The Cheyenne County, Nebraska Sheriff’s Office led the investigation into Reinick’s activities.
Reinick’s co-defendant, Stephanie Mitchell, is scheduled to stand trial on August 22, 2022.
In a related development, Mitchell’s trial is set to begin in the coming months. The exact date has not been announced.
