ARREST MADE: Jesus Iribe, a 28-year-old drug trafficker from Stockton, California, has been sentenced to 14 years in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
Iribe was caught on February 17, 2022, when law enforcement officers discovered a loaded Glock pistol and a kilogram of cocaine in his possession. Further investigation at Iribe’s residence uncovered a cache of 10 pounds of meth, 5 pounds of cocaine, 3 pounds of marijuana, counterfeit M-30 oxycodone pills, and an additional five firearms.
The case against Iribe was built on a joint effort by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), bolstered by support from local law enforcement agencies including the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office, Stockton Police Department, San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office, and Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Justin Lee led the prosecution of the case, which was part of a larger OCDETF initiative aimed at dismantling high-level criminal organizations threatening the United States.
The OCDETF utilizes a multi-agency approach driven by intelligence and directed by prosecutors to identify, disrupt, and dismantle these organizations. For further information on OCDETF’s efforts, visit Justice.gov/OCDETF.
Iribe’s sentence is the latest blow in the ongoing battle against organized drug trafficking networks in California.
