New Haven Man Pleads Guilty to Fentanyl Distribution Charge

A 24-year-old New Haven man has pleaded guilty to possessing fentanyl with the intent to distribute it, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Connecticut.

Tashuan Minor-Davis was arrested on September 25, 2020, after members of the West Haven Police Department’s Street Crime Unit observed him engaging in a street-level drug transaction from his vehicle at a gas station in West Haven.

According to court documents, Minor-Davis fled the scene after officers attempted to stop him, but was apprehended after a brief foot chase. Police recovered approximately 34 grams of cocaine and 19 grams of fentanyl from Minor-Davis’ vehicle.

Minor-Davis is scheduled to be sentenced by U.S. District Judge Robert N. Chatigny on April 5, 2022, at which time he faces a maximum term of imprisonment of 20 years.

Minor-Davis has been released on a $100,000 bond pending sentencing.

The investigation into Minor-Davis’ activities was conducted by the DEA New Haven Tactical Diversion Squad and the West Haven Police Department. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Tara E. Levens.
