Tampa, FL – In a shocking exposé, Grimy Times reveals a disturbing international sex trafficking ring based in Florida that operated under the guise of “child modeling” websites, grossing over $9.4 million.
According to court documents, Kenneth Power, 58, of Weston, was a key player in the Newstar Enterprise, an internet-based business that exploited vulnerable children for profit. Power’s wife, Tatiana “Tanya” Power, 41, of Weston, is currently pending trial on money laundering charges.
The Newstar Enterprise, founded around 2005, built, maintained, and operated subscription-based websites that featured minors, some as young as 6 years old, in sexual and provocative poses. The website’s content was sourced from children recruited from Ukraine, Moldova, and other Eastern European nations, who were often vulnerable due to their age, family dynamics, and poverty.
Patrice Eileen Wilowski-Mevorah, 53, of Tampa, and Mary Lou Bjorkman, 58, of Lutz, recently pleaded guilty to laundering money for the Newstar Enterprise. The defendants used a bogus jewelry company to process and distribute proceeds.
Law enforcement officers have disabled the servers hosting the Newstar Websites, and four members of the Newstar Enterprise have been charged in connection with the operation. Tatiana “Tanya” Power faces up to 100 years in prison, while Patrice Wilowski-Mevorah and Mary Lou Bjorkman are set to receive 20-year sentences.
The United States intends to pursue further action against those involved in the Newstar Enterprise. Grimy Times will continue to monitor the case and provide updates as more information becomes available.
