Temple Hill Duo Pleads Guilty in 2015 Robbery Spree
Andre Antoine Walker and Malcolm Xavier Green, both 23, face up to life in prison for series of heists
Baltimore, Maryland – In a stunning turn of events, Andre Antoine Walker and Malcolm Xavier Green, both 23 and residents of Temple Hills, Maryland, have pleaded guilty to a string of bank robberies that took place in 2015.
According to the guilty pleas, Walker and Green conspired to rob banks in Maryland and Virginia, engaging in a series of bank robberies from July 1 through July 24, 2015. The pair robbed banks in Camp Springs, Baltimore, and Millington, Maryland, as well as Lovettsville, Virginia.
The robbers, who were armed with a gun, presented a note to the teller demanding money and threatening harm if the teller did not comply. In one of the robberies, Walker displayed a gun to the teller, brandishing it multiple times. The pair stole a total of $10,590 in the four robberies.
Investigators identified Green through a fingerprint analysis of the note from one of the robberies, while Walker was identified from surveillance footage of the robberies. The pair was arrested on August 3, 2015, and the gun was recovered from Walker’s vehicle.
Walker and Green face a maximum penalty of five years in prison for the conspiracy, 20 years for each of two counts of bank robbery, 25 years for armed bank robbery, and a mandatory minimum of seven years in prison, consecutive to any other sentence imposed, and up to life in prison for brandishing a firearm in relation to a crime of violence.
U.S. District Judge Richard D. Bennett has scheduled sentencing for Green on May 31, 2016, and for Walker on July 21, 2016, both at 3:00 p.m.
United States Attorney Rod J. Rosenstein commended the FBI, Prince George’s County Police Department, Kent County Sheriff’s Office, Baltimore County Police Department, and Loudoun County, Virginia Sheriff’s Office for their work in the investigation and recognized the Loudoun County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office for its assistance in the prosecution.
