A ruthless methamphetamine distributor has been brought to justice in West Tennessee, where a 30-year sentence has been dished out to Gregory Lynn Bond, 33, of Denmark.
Bond’s guilty plea to three counts of distributing and possessing with intent to distribute methamphetamine sealed his fate, as a joint investigation by Homeland Security Investigations, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and the Madison County Sheriff’s Department revealed the extent of his involvement in a local trafficking organization.
The investigation, which involved controlled purchases, a traffic stop, and searches of property used by Bond, uncovered over 3 kilograms of methamphetamine at his doorstep.
With a judge’s ruling, Bond will now spend three decades behind bars, a significant blow to the local trafficking organization. U.S. Attorney D. Michael Dunavant weighed in, saying the sentence sends a clear message to those who peddle poison in West Tennessee: there will be consequences.
