Scott Garza, Meth Smuggling, Texas 2026

⏱ 2 min read

A 35-year-old Alice resident, Scott Garza, was caught smuggling nearly eight kilograms of meth from Mexico in clay bricks.

The package was shipped via an international carrier service and was destined for Garza’s address in Alice.

A search at the abandoned house where the package was delivered turned up a firearm, and at Garza’s residence, multiple narcotics, including cocaine, meth, Xanax tablets, marijuana, and synthetic marijuana, were also found.

Garza had travelled to the abandoned house to pick up the package, which he later opened at his home.

US District Judge David S. Morales handed down the 22-year sentence, noting that Garza ‘graduated to the next level’ of dealer with this offense.
