Child Pornography Charge Lands Glenville Man 66 Months Behind Bars
A 27-year-old man from Gilmer County, West Virginia, has been sentenced to 66 months of incarceration after being found guilty of possessing child pornography.
Thomas Reed Ratliff, a resident of Glenville, West Virginia, pleaded guilty to one count of “Possession of Child Pornography.” The charge stems from a discovery made in August 2020 that Ratliff had child pornography videos in his possession. This continued until November 2020.
Assistant U.S. Attorney David J. Perri prosecuted the case on behalf of the government. The FBI and the West Virginia State Police conducted the investigation.
Chief U.S. District Judge Thomas S. Kleeh presided over the case, handing down the sentence.
Ratliff’s sentence of 66 months in prison is a significant blow to the community. Child pornography is a serious crime that has severe consequences for victims and their families.
