Dean DelleChiaie, a 35-year-old federal employee from Nashua, New Hampshire, allegedly used his personal email to send a threatening message to the White House on April 21, 2026, stating he would ‘neutralize/kill’ President Donald Trump. The email, which was sent to the White House’s public-facing email address, claimed the president was responsible for killing kids and committing terrorism. DelleChiaie, who works for the Federal Aviation Administration, had previously conducted internet searches on his government work computer in late January, including how to get a gun into a federal facility and previous assassination attempts against the president.
The United States Secret Service launched an investigation into DelleChiaie after receiving the threatening email. During an interview with the Secret Service in early February, DelleChiaie admitted to conducting the suspicious internet searches and owning three firearms, including a handgun kept in a safe at his home. The Nashua Police Department also provided assistance in the investigation.
DelleChiaie was arrested and charged with interstate communication of a threat against the president. He faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Mike Shannon.
The details of the charging documents allege a disturbing pattern of behavior by DelleChiaie, who appears to have been motivated by a twisted sense of justice. The case highlights the importance of taking threats against public figures seriously and the need for swift action to prevent harm.
