Kansas City Man Pleads Guilty to Fentanyl Trafficking Resulting in Three Overdose Deaths
Kansas City, MO – In a shocking turn of events, Tiger Dean Draggoo, 24, pleaded guilty in federal court to distributing fentanyl, which resulted in three overdose deaths in Belton and Raymore, MO, as part of a drug-trafficking conspiracy.
Draggoo pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute fentanyl and three counts of distributing fentanyl resulting in death. By pleading guilty, Draggoo admitted to distributing fentanyl on September 3, 2022, which caused the death of another person. He also admitted to distributing fentanyl between August 22 and September 13, 2022, and between December 7 and 20, 2022, which resulted in the deaths of two other individuals.
The evidence presented in court revealed that Draggoo was responsible for distributing or possessing at least 22,364 pills that contained a total of 2,460 grams of fentanyl. This staggering amount of illicit substances has left authorities reeling and raises questions about the severity of the fentanyl crisis plaguing the nation.
The investigation into Draggoo’s activities led to the discovery of the tragic circumstances surrounding the deaths of three victims. Victim #1, a juvenile, was found deceased in her bedroom on September 4, 2022, with an autopsy report identifying fentanyl intoxication as the cause of death. Investigators determined that Draggoo had supplied her with fentanyl pills on the evening of September 3, 2022.
Victim #2 was found deceased in her Belton residence on September 13, 2022, with a blue pill containing fentanyl found in her bedroom. An autopsy report identified the cause of death as acute fentanyl toxicity. Draggoo was selling fentanyl pills to Victim #2, who would typically receive the pills near midnight at her bedroom window.
On December 20, 2022, Raymore police officers responded to a residence regarding a non-breathing female, identified as Victim #3. She was pronounced deceased at the hospital, with a small amount of fentanyl found in her system. The investigation revealed that Draggoo was selling fentanyl pills to Victim #3.
Draggoo’s guilty plea comes after a botched arrest attempt on September 22, 2022, where he fled in a Jeep Renegade driven by his brother, Colt Justin Draggoo. The vehicle was later found, and Colt Draggoo was arrested. A search of Tiger Draggoo’s apartment revealed 17 firearms, including two machine guns, $246,769 in cash, and various other illicit substances.
