Fort Wayne Man Charged with Felon in Possession and Maintaining a Drug Involved Premise
A 22-year-old man from Fort Wayne, Indiana, has been charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm and maintaining a drug involved premise, according to a recent indictment.
Travon D. Russell, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, was charged in a two-count indictment with being a felon in possession of a firearm on or about December 23, 2013, and maintaining a drug involved premise on or about December 12, 2013.
The indictment alleges that Russell possessed a firearm, ammunition, and a digital scale, which are subject to forfeiture. The charges were filed as a result of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Fort Wayne Police Department.
Russell’s case has been assigned to Assistant United States Attorney Lesley J. Miller Lowery, who will prosecute the case.
The United States Attorney’s Office emphasized that an indictment is merely an allegation and that all persons charged are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in court.
