Trevor White, 41, Sentenced to 140 Months for Seeking Sex with 13-Year-Old Girl

A former youth sports coach from Missouri has been sentenced to 140 months in prison for attempting to have sex with a 13-year-old girl. Trevor White, 41, of Fenton, Missouri, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in St. Louis to attempted coercion and enticement of a minor.

The case began on September 24, 2023, when White sent a text message to the 13-year-old girl, asking for her photo. Over several days, he became increasingly sexually explicit and sought to arrange a meeting to engage in sex. White even requested sexually explicit photos of the girl and sent two explicit images to her.

White’s actions were discovered after the girl reported the suspicious conversation to her parents, who contacted St. Louis County police. A detective was able to continue the conversation with White, and he eventually admitted to participating in the text conversations and asking the girl for explicit photos.

White’s parents of the girl expressed their outrage and concern in a letter to the court. They stated that White had obtained the girl’s contact information when he bought items for a fundraiser and had begun to contact her inappropriately within hours. The girl was left shaken and deeply troubled by the experience.

The case was investigated by the St. Louis County Police Department and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Hayes. It is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse.
