
Two men, Ronnie Lee Gillette and Tyrone Dewayne Jackson, have pleaded guilty to participating in a large-scale conspiracy to distribute cocaine in Boone County, Missouri. The crime allegedly took place from November 2011 to August 2014.
Gillette, 55, of Kingdom City, Missouri, admitted to working for co-defendant Kenneth Scott, Sr., 47, and assisting in transporting cocaine and delivering and selling crack cocaine to others, including co-defendant Malcolm Desean Redmon, also known as “Harp,” 32, of Columbia.
Jackson, 36, of Boonville, Missouri, admitted to ordering powder cocaine from Scott and receiving it through Scott or Gillette, or by making arrangements to pick it up. He also admitted to acquiring at least eight ounces of powder cocaine and reselling it, as well as acquiring at least two ounces of powder cocaine and three pounds of marijuana for resale.
Gillette and Jackson face up to 20 years in federal prison without parole. The sentencing of the defendants will be determined by the court based on the advisory sentencing guidelines and other statutory factors.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Anthony P. Gonzalez and was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, IRS-Criminal Investigation, the Columbia, Mo., Police Department, the Boone County, Mo., Sheriff’s Department, the U.S. Marshal’s Service, MUSTANG, the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Boone County, Mo., Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
This case is among 20 defendants who have pleaded guilty. The investigation uncovered a large-scale cocaine conspiracy that spanned multiple years and involved several individuals.
