Tyrone Parker Jr. Pleads Guilty to Role in Nationwide Felony Lane Gang
Albany, NY – Tyrone Parker Jr., a 23-year-old from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit bank fraud and aggravated identity theft. The charges carry a minimum sentence of 2 years in prison, a maximum sentence of 30 years, a fine of up to $1.25 million, and a supervised release term of up to 5 years. Parker Jr. will be sentenced on September 13, 2023.
Parker Jr. admitted to being involved in a bank fraud scheme known as the Felony Lane Gang between 2018 and 2020. He and his co-conspirators traveled across the country, breaking into cars and stealing debit cards, credit cards, checkbooks, and photo identifications. They used these stolen items to commit bank fraud by recruiting women to impersonate the smash-and-grab victims and cash checks in drive-through bank lanes. The recruited check cashers were often suffering from addiction and were provided payment in narcotics.
The loss amount from the conspiracy attributable to Parker Jr. is approximately $81,737. Parker Jr. was one of nine men charged in a 13-count indictment for their roles in the scheme. Eight of the defendants have previously pleaded guilty, including Keyshawn Arnold, Gary Grier, Joshua Mallory, Terrell McDonald, Robert Natson, and Tyrone Parker Sr.
The remaining defendants, Cedric Lynch and Randall Taylor, are awaiting trial and are scheduled to appear in federal court in Albany on July 10, 2023.
The investigation into the Felony Lane Gang was led by the FBI Westchester Resident Agency of the New York Field Office and the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department, with assistance from numerous law enforcement agencies.
Tyrone Parker Jr.’s full name is Tyrone Parker Jr., and he is a resident of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The charges against him include conspiracy to commit bank fraud and aggravated identity theft. This case is being prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of New York.
