Vallejo’s Cole Bradley Martin, 39, faces a stiff penalty after being indicted for illegal firearm possession. A federal grand jury charged Martin with being a felon in possession of firearms, U.S. Attorney Eric Grant announced.
Court documents reveal Martin was caught with a Springfield XD 9mm pistol and a KelTec P32 .32-caliber pistol on August 14, 2025. His prior felony convictions, including possession of a controlled substance and robbery in the first degree, make him prohibited from owning firearms.
The investigation leading to Martin’s indictment was a collaboration between the Solano County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Zulkar Khan is handling the prosecution.
Conviction could result in 15 years behind bars and a $250,000 fine for Martin. However, sentences are subject to the court’s discretion based on federal Sentencing Guidelines and applicable statutory factors.
This case is a part of Operation Take Back America, which seeks to eliminate cartels, transnational criminal organizations, illegal immigration, and violent crime. It also aligns with Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), aiming to reduce gun violence and make neighborhoods safer through strategic enforcement and community engagement.
