Victor L. Roebuck II, Marijuana Possession, West Virginia 2021

A California man has been indicted on a marijuana charge in West Virginia, authorities announced.

Victor L. Roebuck, II, 33, of Long Beach, California, was indicted on one count of ‘Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana’ in Ohio County.

The indictment alleges that Roebuck had marijuana in May 2021.

Roebuck faces up to five years of incarceration and a fine of up to $250,000. Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed will be based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Shawn M. Adkins is prosecuting the case on behalf of the government. The West Virginia State Police investigated.

An indictment is merely an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.

Roebuck’s case is still pending and he has not yet entered a plea. He is expected to appear in court for further proceedings.

The West Virginia State Police and federal authorities are continuing to investigate and prosecute individuals involved in marijuana trafficking and distribution.
