A Grant County man has admitted to selling buprenorphine in September 2019.
William Glenn Vance, 44, of Petersburg, West Virginia, pleaded guilty today to one count of ‘Distribution of Buprenorphine – Aiding and Abetting’ in the United States District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia.
According to court documents, Vance admitted to selling buprenorphine in Grant County in September 2019.
Vance faces up to 10 years of incarceration and a fine of up to $500,000.
Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed will be based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen D. Warner is prosecuting the case on behalf of the government.
The investigation was conducted by the Potomac Highlands Drug Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, the Moorefield Police Department, the West Virginia State Police, and the Grant County Sheriff’s Department.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael Aloi presided over the guilty plea hearing.
