Martin Green, Methamphetamine Trafficking, Delaware 2023

A Wilmington man, Martin Green, 33, was sentenced to 133 months in federal prison for selling massive quantities of methamphetamine and heroin in Delaware.

According to court documents, Green sold crystal methamphetamine to a confidential informant working with the FBI on several occasions between March and May 2023. The informant, working for the FBI, made several purchases from Green, who showed no hesitation in selling the highly addictive drugs to unsuspecting victims.

Law enforcement conducted searches of Green’s car, home, and storage unit, where they found an astonishing 3.5 pounds of crystal methamphetamine and over 4,400 baggies of heroin. Green confessed to selling both drugs in the New Castle County area, putting countless lives at risk.

Green’s history of crime is just as alarming as his current sentence. He had three prior state convictions for drug dealing, demonstrating a blatant disregard for the law. This sentence reflects the severity of his crimes and the harm caused to his community.

U.S. Attorney David C. Weiss stated, ‘This sentence reflects Mr. Green’s repeated disregard for the rule of law and the severity of his crimes. Drug trafficking is corrosive to our communities. My office will continue to work with our law enforcement partners to prosecute those who choose to profit from illegal drug sales.’

Special Agent in Charge William J. DelBagno of the FBI’s Baltimore Field Office added, ‘Martin Green is a repeat offender, who sold methamphetamine and heroin in Delaware again and again, even with children present. Putting Mr. Green out of business and behind bars for the next 11 years is a win for the people of Delaware.’

The case was investigated by the FBI’s Delaware Violent Crime and Safe Streets Task Force, a partnership of law enforcement officers from the FBI, Wilmington Police Department, Delaware State Police, Delaware Probation and Parole, and New Castle County Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Alexander Ibrahim prosecuted the case.
