Winston D. Foster, 40, of Milton, was sentenced today to 210 months in federal prison, after pleading guilty in April 2016 to production and distribution of child pornography.

The 210-month sentence is a result of Foster’s heinous crimes, which included requesting a 12-year-old child perform and photograph sexually explicit acts and sending him the images.

In January 2016, law enforcement agents became aware of Foster’s disturbing online activities. Foster was communicating with the child on Facebook, and a search warrant was executed at his residence in February 2016.

Agents seized Foster’s computers and cellular telephone, revealing approximately 46 images of child pornography, of which approximately 33 were of the victim.

The case was investigated by the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Walton County Sheriff’s Office, and the North Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Jeffrey M. Tharp.

Foster’s crimes demonstrate a grave disregard for the well-being and safety of our children. The sentence handed down today should serve as a stark reminder of the severity of such crimes.

Foster’s prison term will begin immediately. The United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida will continue to work tirelessly to protect our communities from predators like Foster.
